BOARD NOMINATIONS: Nominees to the Board must believe in the Mission of
Special Olympics; have extremely high integrity in order to, along with other Board members, be
legally responsible for the prudent operation of Special Olympics Idaho; be committed to improving
the quality of life for the athletes; and actively assist in fundraising as well as ensuring adequate
accountability for funds spent. To complement the skills we already have on the Board, we are
especially interested in recruiting individuals who have the following areas of professional expertise:

Medical professional with statewide influences to give advice, recruit medical assistance for
competitions, help set up a free medical exam program for athletes, and assist with funding.

Mid-to upper-level executives of larger corporations to assist with funding opportunities.

Influential person involved statewide with High School Athletics to assist with sports
expertise, officials of competitions, facilities, and training school clinics.

Influential person involved statewide with education to assist with Outreach and in
building school programs.

Influential person involved statewide in the field of itellectual disabilities that could assist with
opening Outreach doors as well as our Risk Management Policy.
