| Coeur d'Alene Eagles Special Olympics is a year-round team offering all the sports available in Idaho.
For Winter sports, we offer Alpine Skiing, Nordic Skiing, Snowboarding, Snowshoeing, and sometimes an indoor sportfor those who don't like being out in cold (the sport varies each year).
Other sports offered throughout the year are: Athletics (track & field), Aquatics (swimming), Basketball, Cycling, Powerlifting, Golf, Softball, Floor Hockey, Soccer and Bowling. (Equestrian is available in our area from Kootenai County Equestrians Special Olympics)
Please call for information about joining our team as an athlete or volunteer. We would love to have you! |
|
| MAKE A CONTRIBUTION |
| Participation in Special Olympics is FREE to the athlete. In order to accomplish this, our team must raise funds for equipment, uniforms and registration fees at state-level competitions. Your contributions of time and money really do make a difference! To make a tax-deductible donation, make your check payable to SPECIAL OLYMPICS and mail to Coeur d'Alene Special Olympics, P.O. Box 653, Rathdrum, ID 83858. ALL MONEY STAYS LOCAL and 100% is used to benefit our athletes in Coeur d'Alene, Post Falls, Hayden, Spirit Lake, Rathdrum, and Athol. Let us know that you found us on the Web! |
|
| VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES |
| Our team is always looking for volunteers! We have over 100 athletes and volunteering is fun and rewarding!
In addition to coaches, volunteers also perform a variety of management/administrative functions that keep the team running smoothly.
Our Class A volunteers are over 18 years of age and have passed a background check, including fingerprinting. We also utilize junior volunteers, from 13 to 18 years of age, under the supervision of a Class A volunteer. If you've never worked with us before, don't worry--training is available to help you be successful.
