Rigby Wranglers has been participating in Special Olympics for 5 years.

Our first State Competition was in Basketball with 16 athletes and partners.

Today, our teams consist of 46 registered athletes and 97 registered partner athletes. Our athletes and partners participate in basketball, volleyball, soccer, bowling, indoor floor hockey and track & field.

We have always been a unified team. Our special needs athletes play on the court or field with their pears who are family members and school mates.

Not only do we play together in sports, but spend a lot of time together outside on the Special Olympics arena. Our athletes and partners love the friendships they have build with each other. Our teams believe. feels and look deeper into the word “Unified” then just being together at practices and competition. We are at all times one. We are one big happy family!!!

It is our goal to have fun and try to make sure that even our competitions at Area and State Games have as much fun as we are. It’s okay to win,”yes, that is our goal,” but we try to make sure that everyone walks away feeling good.
